The Kindle Has Landed…On My Doorstep

The Kindle Touch with a sample of "The Paris Wife" which is a really awesome book...from the sample I read.

I have a Kindle now.  This is very exciting for me as I have wanted one for quite some time.  However, I waited eons to purchase my Kindle because of price and my love of actually holding books.  Then I got an offer I couldn’t refuse and ended  up with a Kindle I did not have to spend my own money purchasing…and so began the Kindle saga.

I bought my Kindle Touch on October 6th, over a month before it was available for shipping.  After a very, very, very long wait, it arrived yesterday.  I was apprehensive at first, not sure if I would like it as much as I’d thought I would.  Twenty minutes later, it was love.  I feel like I’m cheating on my books (please don’t tell them).

It's a seriously weird obsession I have with this book...I have about 10 copies of it in my library...

I would have to say that the Kindle Touch was worth the wait.  The ads that come with it are not so cool, but then again the ads  made it cheaper.  The experimental browser is cool.  People complained about it in the reviews, but I bought an e-reader…if I wanted a computer, I’d have bought an iPad.

Good experiences so far.  I wish that Amazon sold the books cheaper though, like they used to do.  However, now I have no excuse for not reading the Classics (which are free).  I can also feed my weird love of The Canterbury Tales as I can now carry it around with me everywhere…along with 2999 other books.  Thank you, Kindle.
