So many of you probably know that the world was supposed to end…again…on October 21st. It didn’t…obviously. I think that it was actually supposed to end on October 21st and May 21st. I think it is supposed to end in 2012. It just keeps getting postponed.
Here’s my theory:
Every time someone predicted the world was about to end, they were actually correct. So the day of rapture came about and God or Jesus (or which ever deity you think will show up when the world ends) gets here to celebrate rapture with the graduating class of Earth. I use this analogy because which ever generation is here at the time of the rapture will be like the senior class here on Earth so they will graduate to wherever you go afterwards.
So anyway, the rapture begins and you hear the “Pomp and Circumstance” music, the procession to heaven starts and then the music stops and God says, “”WAIT! Stop, stop, stop.” God, Jesus, and Saint Peter huddle up and have a pow-wow for a couple of minutes before God turns back to the people of Earth and says, “Sorry, sheeple. I’m going to have to hold you all back. I just don’t think you’re ready for this next step yet. Maybe next year.”
And just like that, the rapture is cancelled because we Earthlings haven’t come far enough. I mean, let’s face it, do we really want to leave behind what we are today as a legacy? What an embarrassment.
I think my version makes just as much sense as anybody else’s rapture predictions…but maybe we should start repenting for our stupidity before God stops giving us second chances…
